Senior Estimator
UGL is inviting applications for a Senior Estimator role within the UGL Transport Major Projects division, based in Melbourne, and focused on mission critical infrastructure projects.
About the role
* Manage the estimating process, bringing together pricing, documentation, and stakeholder/consultant, vendor and partner input.
* Lead estimating when required and mentor supporting estimators.
* Coordinate and manage estimate inputs from proposal stakeholders, internal and external SMEs, vendors, subcontractors, designers, consultants.
* Ensure the tender process, including estimate reviews in the UGL Way, is correctly followed; conduct peer reviews on estimates when requested.
About you
* Tertiary degree qualification of Bachelor status in Engineering.
* Experience across critical infrastructure projects such as data centres, rail, road, tunnels and/or building services projects.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills; ability to establish effective working relationships with people at different levels, both internally and externally.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a lead or senior estimating role for mechanical/electrical scope, ideally within an engineering, project management or infrastructure environment.
* Familiarity with major projects and Tier 1 contracting on large‑scale sophisticated projects.
