About the role
We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As a Portfolio Analyst - Private Equity, you will work with members of the Growth Assets team, other colleagues at Australian Retirement Trust and external advisors to provide advanced analytical support for the development and implementation of Australian Retirement Trust’s ongoing investment program with a focus on the Private Equity asset class.
Working for one of the largest Australian investors in private equity, you will be an important contributor to investment analysis and execution of investment opportunities in Australia and globally, developing and reviewing financial models, evaluating investment opportunities and conducting research and due diligence, as well as ongoing asset management and reporting for a range of direct co-investments and primary fund investments, as well as overall portfolio analysis.
This is a permanent role based in Brisbane.
About you
You know your way around risk management. You understand financial markets and can explain complex concepts clearly. Most importantly, you're good with people – because managing risk is as much about building relationships as it is about analysing data. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
* You hold a tertiary qualification, ideally in finance, accounting, economics, commerce, law, mathematics, engineering, or a related discipline, that supports your analytical mindset.
* You have 2–7 years of experience in the investment or financial services industries, and you’re confident navigating areas like investing, corporate finance, investment banking, or consulting.
* You’re skilled in financial analysis and modelling, and you know how to turn numbers into insights.
* Your interpersonal skills are strong, and you communicate and present with clarity and confidence.
* You bring high analytical and problem-solving capability, with a sharp eye for detail and a natural curiosity to keep learning and growing.
* You’re familiar with the private equity market environment and ready to deepen your expertise in this space.
