We're seeking a Software Engineer to join our Developer Experience team. This role is ideal for someone with world-class technical skills and a deep empathy for fellow developers. You'll work alongside talented engineers, architects, and stakeholders to design and deliver tools and platforms that make development at ResMed a joy.
What You'll Do
* Champion a developer-first mindset with empathy for the challenges of modern software development.
* Drive full-lifecycle product development—from concept to delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Present ideas clearly to peers, team members, and leadership.
* Lead our inner sourcing/open sourcing strategy and foster a strong developer community.
* Promote cloud-native architecture and help guide our migration efforts.
* Build and maintain observability and reliability of services.
* Participate in a Sun model standby rotation for production incident management.
* Collaborate across teams to build consensus and shared understanding.
What You'll Bring
* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
* 1+ years of professional software development or platform experience.
* Experience working across one or multiple languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, TypeScript, React).
* Strong testing practices and commitment to code quality.
* Experience documenting code using frameworks like Markdown.
* Deep knowledge of source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and automated quality gates (GitHub or Bitbucket).
* Problem-solving skills and familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles.
Bonus Points
* Familiarity with GenAI and integrating AI into existing systems.
* Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS preferred), including Kubernetes, Docker, and serverless technologies.
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, Splunk, ELK).
* Experience operating Kubernetes clusters in public cloud.
