Support the commercial arm of a quasi-government business driving innovation across Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to contribute to an Australian development entity during a critical time of growth. The successful candidate will work across corporate advisory and transactional matters, providing support on investment and non-investment transactions.
Key Responsibilities
* Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts including NDAs, IP data privacy, and professional services agreements.
* Providing transactional advice on corporate operational and regulatory matters.
* Contributing to policy development and implementation to ensure statutory obligations are met.
* Liaising with external lawyers and managing relationships and budgets.
* Streamlining processes to create efficiencies.
Requirements
* Admission to practice in Australia and New Zealand.
* Junior to mid-level lawyer experience in commercial contracts, technology, M&A, banking, and finance.
* Solid drafting and negotiating skills are essential.
* A commercial solutions-focused approach.
* Excellent attention to detail and relationship-building skills.
