Job Description:
The ideal candidate will ensure timely and secure deliveries while maintaining a high standard of customer service and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect, sort, and load mail and packages into the vehicle.
Drive a designated route to deliver mail and parcels to homes and businesses.
Obtain signatures for tracked or registered items as required.
Return undelivered mail and report delivery issues.
Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures at all times.
Represent the postal service in a professional and courteous manner.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report any defects.
Requirements:
* A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record is essential.
* The ability to lift and carry items up to 15 kg is necessary.
* Strong time management and organisational skills are required.
* Good numeracy and literacy skills are required.
* Flexibility with working hours, including weekends and holidays, is needed.
* A police check must be passed.
* A drug and alcohol screen must be cleared.
