Job Title: Manager - Project Management Practice
The Department of Health seeks a seasoned professional to lead the Project Management Practice in the Health ICT Project Management Office (PMO). As a key member of the PMO, you will drive impactful change by delivering strategic ICT projects that shape the future of the Department.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will oversee the Practice Stream within the Health ICT PMO and provide strategic leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and evaluation of project management frameworks, policies, systems, processes, and templates.
You will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality project and practice management services and activities consistent with Health ICT and the broader Department of Health organisational objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic leadership and direction in the development, implementation, and evaluation of project management frameworks, policies, systems, processes, and templates.
* Lead the delivery of high-quality project and practice management services and activities consistent with Health ICT and the broader Department of Health organisational objectives.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including departmental staff, external partners, and vendors.
* Contribute to the development of business cases, project charters, and other project documentation.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Requirements:
* Proven extensive experience and specialist knowledge in leading the design, implementation, management, and review of practice management and project delivery frameworks and activities.
* High-level management skills in leading and developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
* Demonstrated high-level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative skills with the ability to lead and enable strategies and initiatives in a complex working environment.
* A strong understanding of contemporary project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
