Senior Network Automation Engineer

FinXL is seeking a Senior Network Automation Engineer to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading Government client on a key transformation engagement. FinXL is also able to take over existing visas and provide sponsorship for consultants.
Responsibilities
* Design canonical role / subnet / service object models for ASA / CSM and ACI / APIC
* Validate and sign off candidate rules; lead passive and canary deployments
* Produce runbooks, emergency rollback procedures, and change control artefacts
* Mentor automation engineers on APIC payloads and CSM job design
* Monitor post-deploy telemetry and authorise reverts when SLA thresholds exceed
* Configure and manage F5 GTM and LTM for application traffic distribution
* Develop and maintain network automation scripts and workflows using Python and Terraform
Key Skills & Experience
* Deep experience with Cisco ASA, Cisco ACI and APIC REST / API models
* Proven design and execution of enterprise firewall policy rollouts
* Strong troubleshooting and capacity planning skills
* Hands‑on experience with F5 GTM (Global Traffic Manager) and LTM
* Proficiency in network automation using Python and Terraform
* CCNP / CCIE or equivalent certification
* Experience with CI / CD pipelines for network automation
