Description of position: Daily Description: Completes daily forklift safety checklist. Hooks batteries up to battery charger. Assists with creating drop list of merchandise for placement in cooler. Communicates with meat managers to set priorities and determine merchandise placement. Moves pallets of merchandise using eiectric forklift and electric pallet jack, Uses/acts as spotter to alert forklift driver if something is falling and to keep people out of the fall-danger zone. Wraps pallets in plastic wrap and attaches a merchandise tag. Removes empty pallets from the cooler/freezer floor. Rotates stock as necessary. Ensures that all pallets being placed in steel meet Costco Standards. Assists with stocking of stock, including rotation of dates. Clears cooler/freezer floor of debris, in accordance with Costco's SSOP's. Follows proper fresh and general safety procedures and stancards, Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary. Completes and complies with 11 commardments of quality assurance, toed safety certification and all safety training required by department and warehouse. Licenses/Certifications: Current Forklift Certification required and must have experience with Costco forklifts Experience: Forklift driving experience required, Knowledge/Skills: Must be available to work Mon – Sun 5 day rotating schedule, which includes weekends. Must be available to work PM and until 12am or when required.
