Cyber Advisory Our Cyber Advisory team help our clients identify, measure and appropriately manage the cyber risks they carry. We translate the complex world of cyber security by assessing weaknesses in defences, develop strategies and roadmaps to drive up maturity, and support with the implementation of people, process and technology changes. A day in the life of a Cyber Advisory consultant ranges from mastering and applying the broad range of cyber frameworks we implement (e.g. NIST, PSPF/ISM, ISO27k, etc.), to facilitating a cyber crisis simulation, to advising CISOs, CIOs and CROs on strategic changes to their organisations. Job Description Security Operations - Splunk Technical Management Our Security Operations team assist our clients with the design and implementation of a broad range of technical, human-centric cyber security controls. This means designing technology platforms with security as a seamless enabler, not a series of obstacles to be worked around. Our Splunk consultants are hands-on technical specialists, highly capable in the architecture, design and configuration of Splunk instances and associated integrations. We are experts in a broad range of technology disciplines including Security Architecture, Cloud and Platform Design, Operational Technology (OT) and Internet of Things (IoT), Security Engineering, Network Security, Vulnerability Management and Security Testing. A day in the life of a Splunk consultant ranges from configuring Splunk-based security analytics and monitoring tools in a client’s environment, to reviewing the security architecture of a new solution, to deploying tactical tooling in support of our Incident Response team. Manager In this role, you will create value by: Supporting business development activities including proposal development, competitive RFT/RFP responses, cost modelling, and supporting client presentations / demonstrations. Leading small client engagements and providing guidance and support to other members of the team in the areas of Splunk Architecture, Engineering, and Administration. Leveraging your technical consulting skills set to deliver high quality outcomes to our clients through a combination of hands-on delivery, and regular technical leadership and coaching to more junior members of the team. Managing the budget of small client engagements to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget. Managing a small team of consultants and providing guidance and mentoring to ensure their professional growth. Supporting the development of new capabilities, products and services based on market demand. Qualifications Technically, you will bring to the position: 5 years of experience implementing and managing Splunk solutions in enterprise environments. A ‘hands-on’ set of engineering skills in Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, Splunk ES, and integration with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). A sound understanding of Splunk-relevant cyber security frameworks and logging standards used by Australian government organisations (e.g. ISM/PSPF, ISO27k, NIST CSF, VPDSF, SACSF, etc.). Basic project management skills and the proven ability to lead a team of people in the delivery of a small project. Qualifications and certifications in recognised and relevant industry accreditations such as Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, Splunk Enterprise Security Certified Admin, Splunk Certified Cybersecurity Defense Engineer.
