Your new role as Day Program Mental Health Professional
Maitland Private Hospital gives skilled clinicians a platform to make a tangible difference in improving quality of life and health outcomes. We currently have a part‐time / casual opportunity for a highly motivated and committed Mental Health Professional to join our friendly and supportive Mental Health team, in The Barrington Clinic Day Program.
This role requires you to facilitate small groups within our Mental Health Day Program, delivering therapeutic modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, DBT, ACT, CBT or similar, for adult consumers living with addiction. You will work closely with other members of the team to review consumer goals and progress and help consumers reach their desired outcomes. Group Clinical Supervision is provided on‐site for the successful applicant.
About you (essential criteria)
* Current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
* Highly developed assessment and treatment skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, or related discipline.
* Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body.
* Minimum 3 years' experience working in mental health and/or drug & alcohol settings.
* Experience in delivering psychoeducation and/or group therapy using evidence‐based modalities such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) or similar.
* Strong collaborative interpersonal skills with well‐developed verbal and written communication skills.
* Immunisation evidence and serology report in accordance with NSW Health.
* Experience writing and developing group programs.
* Flexible working arrangements can be supported including term time work patterns. As part of the Healthe Care group Maitland Private employees have further opportunities to work across multiple work sites including Lingard Private, Gosford Private and Brisbane Waters Private Hospitals. Pay level will be dependent on experience in line with the NSW Private Hospitals award.
