This role involves providing support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live as independently as possible.
* Helping individuals achieve their goals by developing essential daily skills such as housekeeping, personal care, social interaction, and budgeting.
* Assisting with personal care needs where required, catering to the unique requirements of each individual.
* Supporting individuals with meal planning, cooking, light cleaning, and facilitating community engagement through socialization and outings.
* Accompanying individuals during daily activities like walks, movies, or appointments, promoting a sense of connection and belonging.
* Facilitating relationships between individuals and their family, friends, and support services.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in Community and SIL environments or supporting individuals with complex disabilities, demonstrating a strong commitment to person-centered care.
* Experience in disability support or related field.
* Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and staff.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Capacity to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Basic computer skills and proficiency in relevant software applications.
