**About You**

This role would see you working in our homes for children living in out of home care, situated across Northern Sydney, Inner West, Southern Sydney, North West, and South West Sydney. **The Duties**
- Engage with young people in a range of activities to assist them to develop their skills.
- Provide person-centred support to young people.
- Support, supervise, organise, and participate in activities with young people within and outside of the home.
- Work with young people and case managers in developing young people's independent living skills.
- Participate (where appropriate) together with the case manager in the development of case plans with the young people to promote life skills, engagement in social activities and addressing any additional needs (i.e. mental health, behavioural)
- Work sensitively, professionally and with confidentiality when engaging with young people, carers, family and other support networks.
- Working across a 24-hour rotating roster: weekdays, evenings, and weekends
**Essential Requirements**
- Minimum completed Certificate 4 in relevant Youth or Community Service field
- Minimum 1 year of experience working with children and teenagers in Out of Home Care
- Experience Working with high needs vulnerable young people who have experienced significant trauma and understanding how this effects their behaviour and emotional needs.
- Experience using a therapeutic approach to de-escalate challenging behaviours
- Must be available to work across a 24-hour roster including weekdays, sleepovers and weekend shifts.
- Current Working with Children Check and Police Check; or willingness to obtain.
- Current Driver's License (minimum Provisional 2 License)
- Willingness to assist with daily living activities and independent living skills.
