Job Summary:
The role of Technical Support Specialist is a key position within our organization, responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of heavy equipment.
This specialist will work closely with clients to identify and resolve technical issues, provide expert diagnostic and troubleshooting services, and create detailed documentation to support equipment performance improvements.
* Maximise equipment availability, reliability, and productivity through technical support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
* Report on regular machine issues to facilitate proactive maintenance strategies.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support equipment performance improvements.
This role involves working at various client sites and requires a flexible Monday-Friday roster based on a 38-hour workweek.
Key Requirements:
* Trade certificate in a relevant Heavy Equipment Trade or Engineering Qualification.
* Proven experience working on heavy equipment, preferably with a focus on hydraulic and electrical systems.
* Field Service Technician experience is preferred, with exposure to breakdowns, repairs, and diagnostics.
* Mine-site experience is desirable.
* Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical drawings.
* Understanding of maintenance targets, including availability, reliability, parts management, and component lifecycle management.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
* Current driver's license.
* Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
