A DAY IN THE LIFT?
We are currently seeking a full‐time Sales & Design Manager – Masson for Light (MFL) to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Executive General Manager – Trade, this pivotal role is responsible for leading the MFL team to achieve sales, profitability and market growth, while driving product innovation and delivering exceptional client experiences.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Grow MFL's presence by fostering relationships with wholesalers, contractors, designers and architects across key regions.
* Maintain a strong market presence through frequent customer visits and industry engagement, including interstate travel when required.
* Actively support the team during tender submissions and project negotiations to boost conversion rates.
* Ensure the team follows structured call cycles and maintains timely follow‐ups on all quotes and design submissions.
* Monitor major project milestones to prevent delays, resolve issues early and protect MFL from potential risks.
* Track market activity to identify changes in customer preferences and share insights with internal teams.
* Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure new products move smoothly from concept to production.
* Review product performance regularly to identify items to discontinue and highlight opportunities for new range additions.
* Work closely with our Merchandise & Product Development teams to ensure products comply with Australian electrical standards.
ABOUT YOU
To shine in this role, you will bring:
* Previous experience in lighting sales or lighting design is essential
* Proven leadership and team management experience, with a strong track record in sales performance
* Expert knowledge of lighting products, technology and applications (Highly advantageous)
* A qualification in Interior Design or Lighting Engineering is highly regarded (and further development may be supported)
* A current driver's licence and access to a car
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback
