The Margaret River wine region is one of the world's premier wine regions, recognised locally and globally as such. The Margaret River Wine Association (MRWA) is the peak body for Margaret River grape growers and winemakers and represents their interests and promotes Margaret River fine wine; Association members include wine producers, grape growers and commercial members with an interest in the industry and the region.
Reporting to the MRWA Board, the CEO is the organisational head of the Association and its public face. Key responsibilities of the role include:
building and maintaining member engagement, focussing on strategies and activities which foster a fully engaged member base
building and maintaining stakeholder engagement with the likes of Federal, State and Local Government bodies, and NGOs operating in the tourism (particularly wine tourism), commercial and community spaces
strategic Margaret River Wine brand positioning and broader media management
maintaining solid financial management processes and practices, which will include seeking external funding from grants and similar
oversight and delivery of programmes and projects for the benefit of Association members
management of the small staff complement and liaison with various industry committees.
Australian work rights are essential for this role.
