Family Counsellor – Family and Relationship Service
Employment Term: Permanent part-time (4 days a week)
Location: Maroochydore
Remuneration: $51 per hour + Super + NFP salary packaging of up to $15,900 and $2,650 for meals and entertainment
In This Role You Will
* Provide individual, couple and group counselling and education with an aim to strengthen family relationships.
* Prevent breakdown and ensure the wellbeing and safety of children and adults who live in all kinds of families.
Essential To The Role
* Sound knowledge of and/or demonstrated ability to provide counselling and related services within a therapeutic context to a range of clients with issues including, but not limited to, domestic and family violence, sexual abuse, child abuse, relationship discord and grief and loss.
* Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, oral and written communication and advocacy skills are required along with a proven ability to work co-operatively within a multi-disciplinary team in a complex human services environment.
What Makes a Difference for Us
* Possession of a Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or Behavioural Science from a recognised tertiary institution coupled with prior experience.
* Qld Suitability Card for Child Related Employment (Blue Card).
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Willingness to undergo a Criminal History Check.
