Clinical Nurse - Clinical Facilitator, Queensland Health
Empower Nurses Through Clinical Education & Leadership
Join the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit as a Clinical Nurse - Clinical Facilitator and play a key role in developing, supporting and empowering nurses across Internal Medicine inpatient units. Use your advanced clinical skills and passion for education to strengthen practice, enhance patient outcomes and foster a strong learning culture
About your role
As the Clinical Nurse - Clinical Facilitator, you'll provide advanced clinical support, expert problem-solving and effective coordination within the Nursing and Midwifery Practice Development Unit.
In this role, you will:
Provide advanced clinical leadership, assessment, care planning and support in complex situations.
Coordinate and guide clinical practice, delegating and supervising staff in line with NMBA standards.
Support the delivery, planning and evaluation of education, including in-service programmes, clinical teaching and facilitation.
Assist with performance development, team coordination, rostering and change management activities as required.
Participate in reviewing, developing and implementing procedures, protocols and quality frameworks.
Contribute to clinical audits, research, service improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
About you
You are an experienced and confident clinician with strong leadership capability and a deep commitment to education and continuous learning.
You will bring:
Advanced clinical knowledge relevant to acute and complex medical presentations.
Strong critical thinking, assessment and decision-making capability.
Ability to manage complex situations while guiding and supporting others.
Demonstrated commitment to safe, compassionate and person-centred nursing practice.
Experience delivering clinical teaching, facilitation, simulation-based education and in-service training.
A postgraduate qualification (or enrolment in) in a relevant area of study (highly desirable).
