The Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine/Industrial Electrician to join our team, responsible for executing high-quality, safe, and compliant electrical work across a range of marine and industrial environments. In this role, you will work on a variety of vessels—from luxury yachts to commercial vessels — ensuring electrical systems are installed, maintained, and repaired to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems onboard commercial and recreational vessels, including AC/DC distribution, propulsion, navigation, lighting and communication systems.
* Interpret and work from technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure precise electrical installations.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in electrical equipment, providing timely and effective solutions.
* Install and connect power distribution boards, control panels, and circuit protection devices, ensuring proper configuration and functionality.
* Install, terminate, and test fixed wiring and earthing systems onboard vessels and industrial sites.
* Assemble and repair electrical components such as junction boxes, relay panels, and control systems.

Essential Requirements:
* Australian-recognised Electrical Trade Certificate.
* SA Electrical Licence.
* Current White Card.
* Strong understanding of AS/NZS 3000:2018 and marine/industrial electrical standards. Knowledge of AS/NZS an advantage
* Experience in ship repair, marine environments, boats & yachts or industrial electrical systems.
* Strong knowledge of AC/DC systems, lighting, pumps, and auxiliary systems.
* Familiarity with navigation and communication systems (preferred but not essential).
* Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
* Excellent communication skills with a proactive, safety-first mindset.
* Ability to adhere to WHS (Work Health and Safety) procedures and electrical safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety.
* LVR/CPR Certification.
* Current Driver's Licence.
* Ability to use standard tools and equipment relevant to the trade.
* Strong problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
* Time management skills and the ability to meet set targets and deadlines.
