Job Description
Albemarle is hiring for a Laboratory Technician. This shift position is located at the Kemerton - Australia processing plant.
What You Will Do - Reporting to the Laboratory Team Leader, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for ensuring analytical activities and associated tasks are conducted in a safe, professional, timely manner and in accordance with required policies and procedures.
Accurately completing assigned tasks according to approved Laboratory procedures and work instructions in a timely fashion.
Managing and preparing samples and reagents for analysis.
Undertaking analyses with various analytical equipment and instrumentation as required.
Contribute to a positive culture with a high regard for Safety, Inclusion and Diversity.
Identifying anomalies in analytical results and assisting with the investigation of non-conformances.
Ensure good housekeeping practices are upheld.
Undertake calibration and maintenance of equipment, consumables stock inventory control and assisting with other duties as required.

Required:
Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
Highly motivated with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organizational, communication and time management skills.
Quality focused with a high attention to detail.
Preferred:
Tertiary qualification in a scientific or related discipline – desirable
