Eire Total Access Pty Ltd is a specialist access solutions provider delivering safe and efficient rope access services across industrial, mining, oil & gas, and commercial sectors. Due to ongoing project demand, we are seeking an experienced Specialised Access Technician to join our team on a full-time basis.
About the Role
This role involves performing rope access and specialised access works on complex and hard-to-reach structures. You will be responsible for inspections, maintenance, repairs, and access setup while maintaining the highest safety and quality standards across a mix of metro and FIFO projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out rope access work in accordance with IRATA and industry safety standards
* Perform inspection, maintenance, and repair works on elevated and difficult-to-access structures
* Assist with non-destructive testing (NDT), surface preparation, protective coatings, and remedial repairs
* Install, maintain, and dismantle scaffolding and rigging systems as required
* Complete risk assessments, safety checks, and permit-to-work documentation
* Inspect and maintain rope access and safety equipment in line with regulatory requirements
* Identify defects or hazards and report findings with recommendations for corrective action
* Liaise with engineers, supervisors, safety personnel, and site teams to coordinate access solutions
* Maintain accurate work records, inspection reports, and safety documentation
* Comply with all Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 2 years' experience in rope access, specialised access, or industrial maintenance
* Sound knowledge of WHS regulations, risk management, and hazard control
* Competency in using tools and equipment for inspection, maintenance, and repair works
* Ability to work safely in high-risk, industrial, and remote environments
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
Desirable (but not essential)
* FIFO or shutdown experience
* Trade background or additional industry tickets
* Confined Space, Working at Heights, and/or EWP tickets
* Current First Aid certification
