What You'll Be Doing
* Provide efficient and effective early intervention family‑focused recovery assessments, counseling, and care coordination services for women and families accessing inpatient and outpatient Maternity and Child & Family Services.
* The service will provide hospital inpatient support where required and capacity permits.

* A tertiary qualification in Social Work, with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Comprehensive knowledge of psychosocial issues that arise for consumers and their families with chronic or acute illness.
* Experience or willingness to learn to conduct psychosocial assessments, group work and crisis management within person‑centred and brief intervention models.
* High‑level skills in communication, advocacy, negotiation, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of current and emerging legislation and policies related to child safe standards, child protection, NCAT applications, and NDIS applications.
* Ability to design, plan, implement, participate, lead, and evaluate group work programs.
* Effective time management, prioritisation, and escalation with reference to various demands of the position.
* Valid unrestricted class C Australian drivers licence and willingness to travel for work with overnight stays.
