Multiple Casual Positions

Hourly Rate $73.85 + 12% Super + Qualification Allowance

(Rate of pay and super effective 1 July 2025)

Melton City is Australia’s fastest growing local government area and is experiencing high demand for Maternal and Child Health (MCH) services.

Council recognises the benefits that MCH can provide to children and families, and the important role that the service plays to improve the early identification of children who need more support. We are incredibly proud of the service we offer and are working to increase our capacity to meet the needs of Melton City’s growing and diverse community.

That is why we are significantly increasing the support provided to our MCH team through the recent establishment of a dedicated MCH department and increased employment conditions and benefits. We are working to ensure the Melton City Council is a place where MCH nurses can grow their careers, we are recruiting more nurses and we continue to advocate for a stronger MCH system in Victoria.

About you

To be successful in this role you will be able to satisfy the requirements to work as a Maternal and Child Health Nurse in Victoria and have:

* Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (division1) and Midwife.
* Experience with use of CDIS IT program or a willingness to learn.
* Highly developed clinical skills and ability to identify deviations from normal and instigate appropriate early intervention.
* Demonstrated skills in accurate, objective and concise documentation.
* Knowledge and ability to seek out information and make referrals to other support agencies.
* A current Victorian Driver’s licence
* A current Employee Working with Children Check
