Maintenance Officer – Aged Care
About the Role
As the Maintenance Officer you will play a critical role in ensuring that our facilities remain safe, well‐maintained and conducive to the well‐being of residents.
You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair and maintenance of the home, creating a comfortable and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Attend to general maintenance tasks as directed, including gardening as required.
- Check maintenance logs, prioritise tasks and coordinate contractors.
- Under the guidance of the Home Manager, plan and schedule maintenance across the home.
- Order and store stock as needed.
- Ensure timely action of hazards, incidents and other events relevant to maintenance.
About You
- Experience in maintenance or gardening role.
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement.
- Working knowledge of WH&S and infection control.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer‐focused services.
- Previous experience or understanding of aged care, including retirement village/independent living settings.
- Trade qualifications and/or experience.
