Executive Manager, Mandatory Learning Experience & Delivery
Sydney, NSW, Australia
Job Description
Create your best future and join Wespac as an Executive Manager, Mandatory Learning Experience & Delivery.
What's the role?
This role transforms how mandatory learning is experienced and used across the bank.
You'll lead the enterprise mandatory learning portfolio, making clear, risk‐aligned decisions about what learning is genuinely required, why it exists, and how it should be delivered. The focus is on reducing unnecessary learning, optimising effectiveness, and ensuring strong governance and regulatory confidence.
Working closely with senior leaders, risk, legal and compliance teams, you'll shift mandatory learning from "more is safer" to "right‐sized, deliberate and defensible".
This is a senior individual contributor role with enterprise influence, not a people management role.
What do I need?
* Significant experience in learning, L&D or organisational development within large, complex organisations
* Proven ability to engage, influence and challenge senior leaders and executives
* Strong performance consulting and discovery capability, with sound judgement on when learning is and isn't the right solution
* Experience operating at a senior level and leading through influence and governance
* Demonstrated experience designing or running governance frameworks, decision forums or enterprise portfolios
* Experience working in regulated or compliance‐driven environments (financial services highly regarded)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in risk‐sensitive settings
You'll stand out if you can show:
* Tangible examples of creating impact through learning, such as; reducing learning volume, duplication or effort while maintaining control outcomes
* A commercial mindset and ability to frame learning decisions in productivity terms
* Practical use of modern tools or AI to improve learning discovery or delivery
