The Role With responsibility for driving the organic growth of franchise partnerships across the ANZ region, this pivotal business development role will focus on identifying and capitalising on enhancements to the business's portfolio of franchisees and playing a key and direct part in growing the ANZ operation. Reporting to and under the guidance of the APAC Head of Investments and Portfolio Growth, this role will engage in targeted business development activity to identify prospective franchisees and capitalise on expansion opportunities, in line with the company's long term growth strategy and business goals. The key remit of this role will be to maximise franchise portfolio growth through effective and targeted business development across a range of investment targets. With an autonomous remit to cover a broad geographical territory, the role will include extensive travel and in-person relationship building to maximise success. Key areas of focus include: Business Development Leadership Drive the expansion of the brand's footprint across APAC by leading the identification, assessment, and acquisition of new franchise and development opportunities. Collaborate with the APAC Leadership Team to align regional business development initiatives with the company's long-term growth strategy and annual revenue targets. Shape and execute market entry and expansion strategies by identifying high-potential geographies, analysing competitive positioning, and recommending go-to-market approaches. Utilising a listen-first relationship methodology to understand the ambitions of prospective partners, and positions opportunities that genuinely meet their objectives. Take a consultative approach to communicating the franchise proposition, offering tailored solutions and clearly articulating the long-term value of aligning with the brand. Navigate complex decision-making cycles by building trust with multiple stakeholders, including investors, family offices, developers, and operators. Build strong rapport through thoughtful follow-up, credibility in communication, and a deep understanding of the hospitality and franchising landscape. Collaborate with internal marketing and communications teams to develop compelling, brand-aligned investment presentations, proposals, and promotional materials for potential partners and stakeholders. Prepare comprehensive and persuasive business proposals for new opportunities, ensuring alignment with brand standards and financial metrics. Execution Leverage relationship capital to guide deals to closure - using influence, trust, and alignment of interests to move negotiations forward in a constructive manner. Structure win-win agreements that balance the business's strategic needs with the aspirations of franchisees and partners. Remain actively involved post-signing to ensure a smooth transition, reinforcing the strength of the relationship beyond the deal itself. Stakeholder Management Position yourself as a trusted voice in the industry by maintaining visibility across events, conferences, and thought leadership forums. Build a robust ecosystem of advisors, consultants, and property owners, treating every interaction as an opportunity to establish long-term value, not just a sale. Partner closely with internal stakeholders including marketing, finance, and legal to deliver a seamless, relationship-centric experience for prospects and partners. Your Profile A Business Development professional with a strong track record of success in your chosen industry, you will be someone with an affinity and talent for the identification, development and conclusion of strategic partnership opportunities. Comfortable with a relationship-based approach, you will be able to build strategic partnerships and articulate the key and compelling value proposition whilst maintaining an ethical operating ethos which emphasises the inherent benefits to all parties of forging a partnership. In addition, you will be able to demonstrate: Proven success in a B2B sales role; managing both long and short sales cycles, across new business, upselling and renewals, with contracts that vary from small to more significant dollar amounts. The ability to manage detailed contract/financial terms across a high-volume pipeline. Strong networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. Excellent communication, presentation and negotiating skills with the ability to influence and liaise with a varied client base, using a high degree of tact, skill and diplomacy. Significant stakeholder management, with a focus on working collaboratively. High level of autonomy and strong self-management skills with demonstrated ability to work independently. A self-motivated, results driven approach to work with a strong sense of urgency. A mature and ethics-first approach and the ability to build relationships utilising a genuine and trust-based operating model.
