An exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll professional to join a supportive and dynamic team environment.
Fixed-Term (6 months) Part-Time (Leave relief) (20-24 hours per week).
**Salary Classification**: Administration Officer Level 5 Year 1-2.
**Remuneration**: $37.30-$37.93 per hour, excluding superannuation.
About the role
The role of Payroll Officer ensures effective monitoring, maintenance and delivery of administrative duties associated with the preparation and the coordination of payroll for employees employed by CMN. The role is to be performed with high standards of service to external and internal customers.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll.
Transactional processing of all wages, leave and allowances for all CMN staff.
Undertake all relevant operations relating to transactional payroll processing using Kronos/Chris21.
Ensure that Kronos rosters maintained by the Payroll Service are completed in an accurate and timely manner including liaison with Department managers to facilitate the receipt of roster changes.
Strong knowledge of payroll policies and procedures and legislations that payroll is governed by.
Processing of new/terminated employees
What you bring
Demonstrated experience in payroll administration and working with a computerised payroll and HR information system. (For example Chris21, Kronos).
Knowledge of and ability to interpret industrial agreements and employment related legislation.
Demonstrated computer literacy skills (eg. Word and Excel)
Good communication and customer service skills with the ability to maintain professional and respectful relationships with work colleagues and customers and handle a range of payroll enquiries.
The Calvary Mater Newcastle is an Affiliated Health Organisation providing services to both public and private patients primarily from the Hunter New England area. Current employees of NSW Health can request to have various leave entitlement balances transferred to Calvary Mater Newcastle on commencement.
