About the Opportunity
This is a permanent position based at our Wodonga Site Maintenance Facility in Northeast VIC.
As a Welder/Fabricator at Ron Finemore Transport you will become part of our professional Fleet and maintenance team, responsible for the upkeep of the company's modern heavy vehicle fleet. This includes a wide variety of European trucks and multiple applications of heavy trailer equipment. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
* Operate and maintain welding equipment.
* Understand plans and drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
* Fabricating and repairing metal components and structures.
* Produce clear and concise digital repair order reports, detailing all work carried out and recommendations in a prioritised order.
* Provide support and guidance to apprentice technicians.

About You

* Certificate 3, Trade certificate/qualification or equivalent
* Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry
* Experience servicing and maintaining heavy trailer equipment.
* Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer focused team.
* Current HC/HR driver's license an advantage.
* Pride in your work with an ability to work to targets and high standards.
* High levels of motivation, dependable with a can-do, positive attitude
* Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
* Own tools

Previous employment experience within an automotive fleet or an associated supply chain network will be highly regarded.
