The Opportunity:
McArthur is seeking an Administration Officer, to assist our client who is a long-established community organisation with a small and friendly team. Serving a culturally diverse client base, this is a role that will require someone with a high level of understanding, empathy and communication skills, who can handle sensitive situations well. The role is diverse in nature, and forms a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of the business.
This is a part-time role offering 6.5 hours a day (approx. 19.5 hours per week) within office hours of 9am to 4pm, Monday to Wednesday.
Key responsibilities:
* Reception: Face-to-face and phone based
* Booking meetings with clients and suppliers
* Data entry of financials and other records
* Board meeting preparation and minutes
* Coordinating follow-up actions for GM and Board
* Event Coordination
* Ad-hoc administrative tasks and mini-projects
The right person will have demonstrated experience in office administration and customer service, with an emphasis on empathy and understanding. Strong written and verbal communication will be required, as well as a demonstrated attention to detail. Initiative, patience and the ability to work independently or within a team will be highly regarded.
