POSITION SUMMARY

This is a Work from Home role. Training and meetings will be on-site at Devonfield Devonport Admin Offices.

On-Call works in conjunction with the Operations Manager, Operations Coordinator and Team Leaders to cover leave, and assist Team Leaders with filling shifts as required. This position will also fulfill ‘On-Call’ hours as defined.

ROLE OVERVIEW

On-call as follows:

· Rotation – 1 week on / 1 week off.

Monday 6:00pm – Tuesday 6:00am

Thursday 6:00pm – Friday 6:00am

Public holidays 6:00am – 6:00am next day

Flexibility required to cover additional on-call duties and leave as needed.

DELEGATED AUTHORITY

On-Call works under general direction from Rostering Team Leader.

This person is expected to exercise professional judgment, initiative and has a limited degree of autonomy allocated to them by the CEO in accordance with Devonfield’s Delegation of Authority.

DIRECT REPORTS

This position has no direct reports but is expected to communicate between the Rostering Team Leader, Operations Manager, Operations Coordinator and Team Leaders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key areas of responsibility for this position are:

· Provide full on-call coverage during allocated periods.

· Allocation of shifts to ensure staff skillsets match individual client support needs.

· Maintain accurate records and reporting using Devonfield’s internal business systems.

· Actively participate in rostering team meetings, planning, and review sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

· Demonstrated experience in rostering, workforce planning, or scheduling.

· Knowledge of the SCHADS Award provisions relating to rostering, shift work, and penalty rates.

· Understanding of NDIS Act, NDIS Code of Conduct and relevant safeguarding principles.

· Excellent time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

· Effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

· Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing competing priorities.

· Competency using Microsoft Office, smart devices, and relevant software systems.

· Demonstrated professionalism, positivity, and respect for diversity and inclusion.

· Understanding of client-centred rostering in regulated environments.

· Positive attitude.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

· Possess and maintain a current driver’s licence.

· Possess and maintain a Working with Vulnerable People Card with NDIS endorsement.

· Provision of a satisfactory pre-employment medical report.

· Assist Clients with Medication Certification

Where applicable, Devonfield will coordinate and fund the renewal of required certificates after three months of continuous employment.
