Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to provide assistance to our Raiseboring Division in project data collection and recording, auditing and cost analysis. The successful candidate will also assist with estimating, tender preparation and submissions, and contract agreements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the capture and processing of data from sites to ensure that relevant information is captured in a timely manner, stored securely, and is available for use in managing the works and the contract.
* Carry out all estimating as required.
* Prepare tenders for GM approval, submission, and ensure professional and accurate presentation.
* Identify changes and variations to the works under the contract and ensure these issues are recorded, tracked, and otherwise managed in accordance with the contract.
* Assist in the planning and programming of works under the contract to optimize efficiency and productivity and to minimize cost.
* Provide technical support and quality and environmental control of works in accordance with contract specifications and relevant statutory regulations.
* Prepare progress claims, dayworks claims, and variation claims in accordance with the contracts when required.
Requirements:
* A tertiary qualification in engineering (mining or civil).
* Ability to develop and build client and contractor relationships.
* Sound knowledge of managing and implementing project developments.
* Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks according to changing priorities.
* Sound knowledge of underground development and production in mining fields.
* The ability to work well with others in a team environment, as well as work unsupervised, excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* A drive for continuous improvement and contribute to an environment of innovation.
* Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and complete assigned tasks safely.
