The positions are based in WA Regional (including areas of Merredin, Toodyay, Northam, York, Kalgoorlie, etc.) and Perth WA.
About the role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will report to the Care Coordinator.
Tasks:
* Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs
* Assisting patients with their personal care needs such as showering, dressing and eating
* Participating in planning the care of individuals
* Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems
* Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care
To be successful in these roles you will have:
* MUST have at least ONE YEAR FULL-TIME relevant experience (or pro-rata Part-Time or Casual work)
* Preferable a relevant AQF Certificate lll
* Willingness to travel distance and be willing to work various hours.
* A roadworthy and registered vehicle and hold a current C class drivers' licence
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* The ability to demonstrate empathy with elderly residents
* The ability, and commitment, to uphold high standards of work
What's on Offer:
This is a PERMANENT FULLTIME position, salary offered is $73,000 – $78,000 plus superannuation. The salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
