Monday to Friday Amazing work/life balance Supportive, welcoming work environment Gastronomy is seeking a Catering and Events Coordinator to join our team creating beautiful experiences on our clients' corporate hospitality and event floors. The Person We are looking for someone with excellent relationship management skills who communicates with impact and can inspire confidence in our clients. You will earn the trust of our teams through your hands-on approach and operational knowledge. A background in hospitality or other environments where you have learnt to constantly adapt to change and innovation is vital. You have an eye for style and will be administratively strong and embrace your day with a sense of energy and positive buzz. You will be proactive, have excellent time management skills, the ability to think on your feet and juggle multiple things at once – always with a smile. The Position This is a hands-on role that involves building client and customer relationships. You will provide exceptional customer service, responding to initial enquiries, providing quotes and menus, confirming set ups and details. You will work closely with the floor team to ensure every detail is handed over and organised. From dinners for 120 guests, to drinks for 1000 or small meetings for 3, you know every event is important and a chance to impress. This role is predominantly admin based but will also involve Supervising events at times. The Company GASTRONOMY is a premium, multi award-winning hospitality company. MINIMUM criteria to apply: 3 years’ experience in corporate hospitality, 5 star hotel, events or premium catering Barista experience Current RSA certification Excellent level of computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Advanced level of written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated previous experience with critical analysis situations and proactive problem solving Demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously Experience in communication with both skilled and unskilled staff WH&S awareness
