Youth Worker - Corinda State High School
Corinda State High School is searching for a Youth Worker who is passionate about supporting our students. As the Youth Worker, you will liaise between students, school personnel, and the home. The successful applicant will work alongside our Student Services team to provide educational, social, emotional, and behavioural support within the school environment.

We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organised, and personable candidate, with the role requiring a high level of physical fitness.
Responsibilities Include
* Employ a strengths-based, trauma, mental health, and disability-informed approach when working with students to develop social skills and self-esteem, and support connection with peers and social networks.
* Contribute to the creation and implementation of tailored individual personalised learning plans.
* Work with students, fellow students, families, teachers, and the Student Services Team to implement tailored strategies that support students' wellbeing and assist them to have a more positive educational experience.
* Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and accurate record keeping.
What You Bring
* Experience working with people who live with disability, mental health, and associated socioemotional challenges.
* Knowledge and understanding of relevant theoretical approaches when working with complex young people.
* Openness to learning and an ability to create rapport with adolescents through delivery of flexible and responsive tailored support.
* Able to do active supervision and engagement with movement-oriented students.
