Medical Officer - Youth Mental Health Specialist

* Job Description:
* Provide psychiatric and general medical assessments for young people.
* Support treatment planning, medication management, and risk mitigation.
* Collaborate closely with psychologists, care coordinators, and social workers.
* Contribute to clinical reviews, case conferences, and quality improvement.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support service evaluation activities.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out mental health assessments and provide recommendations for treatment plans.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Ensure timely communication with family members, carers, and other stakeholders.
* Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in youth mental health.
* Requirements:
* MBBS or equivalent and registration with AHPRA as a medical practitioner.
* Experience or interest in youth mental health, general practice, or early intervention.
* A collaborative, person-centred approach to clinical care.
* Ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team environment.
