**Role Snap Shot**
We require a capable and efficient Cadastral Surveyor within our Urban Land Surveying team to assist us in the delivery of in-fill, greenfield subdivisions and general cadastral surveying for a variety of projects and clients.
You will work on our Melbourne based projects, which will allow you to gain additional skills, particularly in establishment of new survey control, feature and level surveys, set-out surveys, pegging and re-pegging of lots, roads and reserves, and surveys of earthworks for volume calculations plus more.
This is a site-based role requiring the successful applicant to be site-based 4 days per week and the remaining day of associated office work can be worked from home or the office.
**How You Will Contribute**
- Be 100% compliant with all internal safety policies and procedures
- Undertake fundamental surveying field tasks to ensure the successful delivery of urban development projects (and other areas of the business as required), including but not limited to:
- Re-establishment surveys
- Feature & level surveys
- Set-out surveys (including pegging in greenfield projects)
- As-constructed surveys
- Lease Area surveys
- Supervised control surveys and levelling surveys in greenfield projects
- To develop expertise in surveying fundamentals and the subdivision process.
- Undertake vehicle and equipment audits, including instrument calibrations
- To provide high-quality survey output in an accurate, timely and safe manner to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients
- Undertake basic plan of survey drafting tasks as required.

- Sound understanding of standard field surveying principles in estate work and knowledge of the basic construction process for residential greenfield subdivisions
- Demonstrated ability to perform reliable and accurate GNSS observations, traversing and levelling based on government practice directives / industry best practice
- Demonstrated ability to follow internal checking and QA processes for uploads and downloads, pre-computations, field data transfer and closures of measurements etc
- Knowledge of various survey technologies including robotic total station, GNSS, digital level and terrestrial laser scanning etc
- Intermediate to advanced LisCAD and ACAD skills
- Construction Induction Card (VPAU349 - Work Safely in the Construction Industry)
