We are currently seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our Whyalla team.
Key Responsibilities
* Uphold MAX core business values: Safety, Teamwork, Attitude, Respect & Integrity
* Ensure compliance with safety, fatigue management, heavy vehicle guidelines, loading and permitting requirements
* Safely operate trucks and associated equipment within licence capabilities
* Care for vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are maintained, clean and roadworthy
* Conduct daily vehicle inspections, report faults and assist with general maintenance duties
* Complete required documentation including logbooks, pre-starts, and job dockets
* Assist with basic load handling duties as required
* Recommend improvements to drive continuous safety and operational efficiency
Skills & Qualifications
* Positive "can-do" attitude and commitment to delivering great customer service
* Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team
* HC or MC Licence preferred
* Demonstrated experience operating heavy vehicles within the transport industry
* Safe approach to loading, restraint and operating in varied environments
* Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
* Able to work flexibly to meet operational requirements
* Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
