About Our School
Christ the King Catholic Primary School is located 20km north of Brisbane in the Bayside suburb of Deception Bay. The school has an increasing enrolment trend and currently has 362 students from Prep to Year 6. Christ the King offers a quality Catholic education, including effective literacy and numeracy practices, specialist lessons in HPE, Indonesian, Library and STEAM. Extra‐curricular programs offered include dance, gymnastics, well‐being and swimming. The school proudly offers a one‐to‐one device program from Year 1 to Year 6, with the latest digital technologies that incorporate inclusive and authentic learning and teaching practices. Each class is supported with a full‐time school officer and all learning spaces are air‐conditioned. Our school motto 'Side by side we grow' encapsulates our approach and team at Christ the King.

About The Opportunity
In this position you will be responsible for:
* Creating a nurturing and ordered learning environment that is learner‐centred, supportive, cooperative and aligned with relevant curriculum policies, documents and practices
* Collaboratively developing and implementing quality curriculum programmes and appropriate pedagogy; evaluating their effectiveness; assessing and reporting student progress and learning outcomes and reporting these to students, parents and the community
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team, teachers and other staff members in contributing to the professional life of the school and fostering a positive school culture
* Proactively engaging with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
* Establishing positive relationships in the pastoral care of students and supporting their spiritual and moral development
* Ensuring that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching

* Showing evidence of creating a supportive, learner‐focused classroom aligned with the Australian Curriculum
* Expertise in designing and delivering effective curriculum programmes in line with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
* Commitment to engage with colleagues, students and parents/carers to enrich learning experiences and achieve the best educational outcomes for students
* A passion to support students' spiritual and moral development
Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements
* Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment
* Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers
