A well-established Indian restaurant Bombay Bliss CALOUNDRA, Bombay Bliss SIPPY DOWNS, Sunshine Coast requires an enthusiastic and dedicated CHEF to join our friendly, committed and professional team.
This is a full-time role (approximately 38 hours per week) which provides a great work-life balance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning the menus under consideration of budget and and availability of seasonal ingredients.
Preparing and cooking food to the highest standard.
Prepare, season, and cook food, meeting dietary requirements where required.
Overseeing all kitchen operations.
Coordinating kitchen staff, provide training to cooks and other kitchen staff.
Responsible for ensuring kitchen equipment and machinery are operated at optimal levels, including regulating temperature of ovens, grills, and other cooking equipment.
Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Ensure all food and equipment is handled hygienically.
Ensure health and safety standards.
A formal qualification in Cookery / Hospitality is required.
Experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Must be reliable, punctual and have knowledge, understanding and adhere to all HACCP guidelines.
