We have a fantastic opportunity for a Venue Operations Manager to join our Operations Department on a full-time basis, located at Caulfield Racecourse.
The Venue Operations Manager responsible for the overall planning and delivery of the operations strategy for Caulfield.

As well as running elite horse racing at Caulfield, Sportsbet Sandown and Mornington Racecourses, we own 15 pub venues under the Pegasus Leisure Group (PLG).
What will your responsibilities be?
* Lead planning and delivery of race-day, non-race day, and owned events across MRC venues, overseeing bump-in/out, setup, and operations.
* Develop and implement venue operational plans, overlays, and asset management procedures tailored to event scale.
* Serve as key point of contact for cleaning and security contractors; act as Chief Warden or Duty Manager on event days.
* Provide operational support to Mornington and Sandown; manage Caulfield and Sandown race-day operations and budgets.
* Coordinate planning systems to align departments for optimal event delivery.
* Support redevelopment projects, including interim operational continuity plans.
* Act as liaison for essential services and external contractors, including Racing Victoria and emergency services.
* Manage internal stakeholder relationships and support project delivery across events and operational functions.
* Assist with cost control, Capex planning, and adherence to procurement policies (EBMS & E5 systems)
Qualifications & Experience Essential
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Venue Management, Event Management, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment within the sports, events, or hospitality industries.
* Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements relating to public events.
* Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations, particularly as they apply to temporary and permanent structures used for events
Skills & Experience
* Strong project management capabilities with a proven track record of delivering complex initiatives.
* Extensive experience in event logistics, planning, and execution in high-pressure environments.
* Demonstrated ability to manage and nurture relationships with clients, suppliers, and key partners.
* Proven capacity to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and perform under tight deadlines.
* Skilled in coordinating diverse and competing priorities across various functions.
* Sound financial acumen, including experience with budget management, expense tracking, and reporting.
