Our client is an established Chartered Accounting practice located on Brisbane's southside. They are seeking an Intermediate SMSF Accountant to join its growing superannuation and business services team. This is a hands-on role within a busy, close-knit office environment where client relationships, practical problem-solving and quality delivery are highly valued.
Working closely with experienced Directors, you will support the preparation and review of SMSF financial statements, income tax returns, BAS and compliance workpapers, whilst also assisting with fund commencements, wind-ups and day-to-day client queries. The role offers broad exposure beyond SMSFs, including management accounting, tax compliance and advisory support, making it ideal for an accountant who enjoys variety, responsibility, and regular client interaction rather than being desk-bound.
The firm is seeking an open-minded, hardworking accountant who can work autonomously, communicate confidently with clients, and adapt to a fast-paced, client-driven environment. CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress) is preferred, though candidates who can demonstrate strong client-handling capability will be considered. Experience using MYOB AE, MYOB Tax and workpaper systems, along with exposure to BAS and tax returns, is highly regarded.
