The Opportunity
As ourManager - Safety, you will step into a highly visible leadership role where your expertise directly shapes the safety direction and culture of NQBP.
You will lead the development and continual improvement of our strategic safety management plan, champion proactive safety behaviours, and guide a committed team towards best-practice standards.
You will work closely with the Leadership Team, collaborate across functions, and represent NQBP with key stakeholders and government agencies.
This is an opportunity to influence, innovate and create long-term impact across an essential Australian port authority.

The ability to think critically, innovate, and navigate complex organisational challenges to find practical solutions.
A leadership style grounded in integrity, coaching, empowerment and visible safety leadership.
We value practical skills and knowledge in safety leadership, and while relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable, they are not a replacement for first-hand knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety.
What is essential is the ability to assist the organisation to continuously progress and evolve.
Why Join NQBP?
This is a chance to play a pivotal role in an organisation with significant economic, environmental and community influence.
You'll join a collaborative and values-driven culture where your leadership genuinely matters and where you can make a lasting contribution to the safety and well-being of people across our ports.
