Overview
Join the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering within the Faculty of Engineering at UNSW as an Associate Lecturer in a Teaching and Research role. This position is intended to cover the responsibilities of an academic staff member who has been seconded to another role for the duration of that appointment.
Responsibilities
* Undertake high-quality teaching and research in construction management, with emphasis on digital technologies, data sciences, and IoT – covering BIM, smart infrastructure, and data-driven decision-support.
* Contribute to innovation in sustainable infrastructure, digital construction technologies, and integrated project delivery methods.
* Collaborate with a dynamic research environment; support the Head of School as required; this role has no direct reports.
Qualifications and Experience
* A PhD in a related discipline, and/or relevant work experience.
* Commitment to keeping up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
* Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
* Knowledge of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
* Experience engaging students and fostering independent learning through meaningful assessment and feedback.
* Willingness to undertake professional development of teaching practice.
* Ability to support and inspire students from diverse backgrounds and to support equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
* Ability to undertake high quality academic research and conduct independent research with limited supervision.
* Evidence of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity; ability to work in a team and build relationships.
* Interpersonal skills; commitment to UNSW's aims, objectives and values.
* Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to training.

* Level A, Salary - $113,911 to $121,838 per annum + 17% superannuation
* Full time
* Fixed-term contract – ASAP start until August 2028
