Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable
Part-Time – 25 hours per week
The Role:
The Finance Officer Accounts Receivable’s core responsibilities will primarily involve supporting the school's accounts receivable functions, performing accounts receivable processes, banking, and other accounting and financial support services for the College.
Key tasks:
* Daily receipting of sundries and managing the sundry debtor portfolio.
* Manage College billings.
* Management of outstanding Fee and Debtor accounts.
* Assist with month and year-end processing, including journals and reconciliations.
* Manage debt collection and provide weekly updates to management.
* Manage canteen, childcare and school event banking.
* Directly assist parents and staff with the use of payment systems.
* Manage the College Accounts Mail Inbox and ensure prompt responses to queries.
* Prepare and provide periodic and ad hoc reports as required.
* Perform other general accounting duties as needed.
Qualifications and Professional Skills:
* Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
* Practical experience using TASS (The Alpha School System) is highly desired, however, the ability to learn and become expert in the operation of the college Finance program TASS is essential.
* Previous experience in finance, preferably in an independent school environment, is highly desirable.
* Ability to perform duties with limited supervision and uphold the highest standards of confidentiality.

* An ability to meet deadlines and resolve complex issues
* Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to successfully communicate and liaise with people at all levels, both internal and external to the College.
* Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential information. Strong time management and organisational abilities
* Ability to work cooperatively within a wider team environment
