Overview
The Barwon Health Eating Disorder Day Program (EDDP) is a group-based treatment program for people diagnosed with an eating disorder who require more intensive therapy and support. The EDDP offers a holistic approach with a multidisciplinary team including group therapy, individual support, supervised meals, and family/carer involvement. The program aims to empower individuals to reengage meaningfully in their lives and build sustainable recovery, across the lifespan. A core part of this role is to work collaboratively within a dynamic multidisciplinary team including a psychiatrist, paediatrician, physician, mental health clinicians, dietitian, occupational therapist, lived experience workforce, and exercise physiologist, as an extension of the existing Eating Disorder Service, in work with the manager and administration team.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership in the provision of high-quality services to consumers.
- Contribute to the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement Program of the service.
- Provide medical lead for Barwon Health Eating Disorder Service (EDS) Day Program; assess suitability for attendance, contribute to treatment planning and goals, support GP management, participate in groups and multidisciplinary care discussions, and liaise with the EDS Paediatric team and inpatient unit as required.
Qualifications
- Applicants must hold FRACP (Paediatrics), be accredited as a supervisor by the RACP, and be registered with either general or specialist medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
