This is a multi-national industrial equipment supplier to the hospitality, hotel, hospital, and cruise liner industry. Without their sophisticated systems and equipment, these businesses would come to a standstill.
**Your new role**
The role of WHS Officer is an integral part of the success of the business and would work closely with the Operations Manager and Project Managers delivering new installations on-site and helping with the commissioning process.
The role would cover:
- Site induction processes and systems are maintained
- Ensure regular safety meetings are undertaken across the various sites
- Coordinate and participate in internal audits
- Assist in the continuous improvement of the organisations WHS policy, procedures and processes.
- Lead serious incident investigations and provide investigative support to Management
- Assist in the development of emergency response plans and WHS procedures.
- Ensure organisational compliance with the WHS Act, Environmental Act, Accident Compensation Act and supporting regulations.
- Analyse, develop, and implement Project Work Health and Safety plans
- Undertake site inspections and risks assessments as required
- Reviewing Safe Work Method Statements and Site WHS Start-up documentation
- Assisting the Project Delivery Team with the implementation of WHS Systems
- Assist as a backup for sales and projects administration work
**What we need from you**
To be successful you will have the following:
- Experience in a similar role
- Experience in a heavy industrial, engineering, production or manufacturing environment where there has been significant high-risk equipment involved
- Must have good communications skills.
- Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work with computer programs: - Outlook & Microsoft tools such as Excel, Word Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc
