Delivering high quality recovery services to consumers in accordance with the ethics and standards established by AHPRA for Occupational Therapists. The Occupational Therapist will provide qualified recovery-oriented services to both consumers and families/carers through interventions such as:
- Psychosocial assessment
- Identification of goals
- Motivational interviewing
- Guidance and support to achieve goals
- The provision of information
- Referral and advocacy
- Group program design, implementation, facilitation and evaluation
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible and accountable to the Acute MH Inpatient Unit Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and work collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team. Within this role, the successful candidate would have access to supervision from the Allied Health Manager, alongside the Senior Occupational Therapist within the wider Mental Health Inpatient Units Allied Health Team. The Occupational Therapist will be actively involved in the development and provisions of a broad range of structured activities and rehabilitation programs, with additional responsibilities around Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention.
