Payroll Specialist Role Summary

The Payroll Specialist is a key role within our Finance team, responsible for managing and administering the payroll operations of our organisation. This includes ensuring accurate end-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls, maintaining accurate and up-to-date payroll records, systems, and databases.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a values-led organisation and be part of a friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will have a strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership of their work, as well as intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel.

* Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure accurate end-to-end processing of fortnightly payrolls.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, systems, and databases.
* Ensure compliance with legislation and organisational policies.
* Provide high level of customer service when addressing employee payroll queries.
* Process new hires, transfers and terminations.
* Assist with maintenance of the payroll system.
* Prepare and process termination payments, workers' compensation payments.
* Prepare and process fortnightly and monthly reports.
* Perform ad hoc payroll tasks and respond to related queries.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Qualification in Payroll, Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent relevant experience.
* Minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience in Health or Aged Care is highly desirable.
* Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ownership of your work.
* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel.
* Must have full working rights in Australia.
* Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
