We are seeking a senior accounting professional to join our finance team. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the unit and assuming the responsibilities of the CFO in their absence.
The role involves developing and coordinating finance policies and procedures, providing budgeting, management accounting and financial reporting services and advice, and coordinating administrative services for procurement, insurance and contract administration.
The ideal candidate will have an accounting or related degree and certified public accountant (CPA) professional qualifications, experience working at a strategic level within a finance function, and experience in finance management including financial and business planning; budget preparation; financial analysis and reporting and management of financial controls.
Key skills and qualifications include the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, drive positive change, provide problem solving ability and be solutions focused, knowledge of accounting standards and corporate governance including procurement, audit and risk management, highly developed people management, leadership and teamwork skills, with demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including high level negotiation and consultation skills, and demonstrated experience in dealing with stakeholders across varying levels, in both public and private sector organisations.
