FP&A Analyst (12-month parental leave fixed term contract)

AUB Group is an ASX 200 company with 100+ businesses across insurance broking and underwriting agencies — and we're expanding internationally following our acquisition of Tysers in the UK.
We're looking for an FP&A Analyst to join our high‐performing Group Finance team on a 12‐month maternity leave contract. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a blend of commercial analysis, financial reporting and hands‐on systems ownership.
Why This Role Matters
Reporting to an FP&A Manager, you will play a key role in providing insights that support strategic decision‐making across the Group.
* 70%: FP&A, analysis, reporting, budgeting & forecasting
* 30%: Finance systems ownership (Adaptive Insights & Attache)
You'll also partner widely across the business, making strong communication and relationship‐building skills essential.
What You'll Do
* Prepare monthly management reports, budgets, reforecasts and investor presentations
* Deliver meaningful insights from variance analysis (budget, forecast & prior year)
* Coordinate deliverables with the Australian broking network
* Manage results uploads, submissions, and template maintenance
Adaptive Insights (Workday Adaptive)
* Act as the Named Support Contact for system issues
* Lead the monthly AI Forum and guide internal finance users
* Maintain user access, reporting tags, dimensions, and master COA
* Oversee system integrity, updates, testing and internal controls
* Maintain the GL Chart of Accounts
* Add and map new GL codes into Attache and AI
* Assist in the migration from Attache to the new SUN GL
* Liaise with Decision Inc on integration issues and enhancements
* Communicate system updates, monitor performance and manage rollovers
What You Bring
* CA / CPA qualified or working toward completion
* 3–4 years' experience in FP&A, financial reporting or similar
* Experience with GL/ERP systems, reporting tools, or database management
* SQL or database reporting experience (highly regarded)
* Ability to communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels
* Knowledge of the general insurance industry (preferred)
