Manufacturing Manager – Transportable Buildings

We’re looking for a practical, people-focused Manufacturing Manager who can keep things moving, support their team on the floor, and ensure jobs are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.

M&P Services is a proudly local, family-owned business that has been operating across Queensland since 1986. With four decades of proven success, we specialise in the manufacture, hire, and sales of transportable buildings, mobile crib rooms, shipping container solutions, and associated products. Our client base spans Australia-wide, Papua New Guinea, and New Caledonia.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead from the front, supporting fabrication, assembly, and stores teams day-to-day
* Keep production on track from planning through to final build and dispatch
* Manage schedules, workflow, and job tracking (Excel or similar)
* Stay close to the floor — troubleshooting issues and keeping things moving
* Build a positive, respectful team environment where people pull together
* Ensure safety and compliance standards are met across the workshop
* Work closely with office and project teams to keep everyone aligned
What You’ll Bring
* Experience with EPS panel construction (nice to have, not essential)
* Background in manufacturing, construction, or transportable buildings
* Current Builder’s License (preferred)
* Solid experience in a Manufacturing Manager or similar hands-on role
* A practical, solutions-focused approach — you’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves
* Good people skills and the ability to get the best out of a team
* Strong organisation and scheduling skills
* Ability to juggle priorities and stay calm under pressure
